What is KYC?

‘Know-Your-Customer’ (KYC) is an identity verification process for a person who wants to participate in an IDO. It primarily intends to prevent fraud, guarantee compliance with international regulations, and help TrustPad safely onboard only credible users.
Do I have to verify my identity to participate in sales?
No, but most projects on Trustpad require us to verify the participant's identities for reporting purposes. Some projects can not accept money from several counties
What is required for passing KYC?
You must be over the age of 18 and have an ID document.
What type of documents is suitable for verification?
Any of the following documents is fine: ID Card, Passport, Domestic passport, Driver’s License, Permanent residence permit.
What countries are excluded from participating in KYC?
Bolivia, Cambodia, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Nepal, Zimbabwe, Liberia, Myanmar, and North Korea. Countries can be found once again in the footer on the website.
How long does the verification process take?
The verification takes from 10 minutes up to 24 hours. Once completed, you'll be able to register for an IDO.

How do I verify my identity via KYC? Step-by-step guide:

Trustpad uses one of the leading KYC solutions, KYCAid, to prevent fraud, guarantee compliance with international regulations, and help Trustpad safely onboard only credible users. Here are 4 easy steps how to verify your identity:
Start here:
1. To verify KYC, you first need to connect your wallet to Trustpad. Do that by clicking the “Connect Wallet” button in the upper right corner of our main page. Connect your wallet to Trustpad using Metamask, WalletConnect, or TrustWallet.

2. When your wallet is connected successfully, you can find the ‘KYC’ button by clicking on your user profile icon. Click on ‘KYC,’ and you will be redirected to our partner KYCAID for secure verification.
KYCAID provides qualified ID verification services to TrustPad to help us counter fraud, minimize risks and safely onboard credible users.
3. Follow the instructions on KYCAid: fill in the information, and download your documents.
Any of the following documents are fine: ID Card, Passport, Domestic passport, Driver’s License, Permanent residence permit.
4. You will see the ‘Information Check’ screen if all the steps are done correctly. Your application is being reviewed. Click ‘Complete.’ You will be redirected back o Trustpad.
When you have successfully passed KYC verification, you will see a checkmark and are now allowed to register and participate in sales.
If your KYC is stuck in review, you can try to start over.

  • Click on your user profile icon
  • Go to "Start over.”
  • You will be redirected to KYCAid to fill out the KYC application again.

I'm from a restricted country. How can I pass KYC?
If your residency is in one of the restricted countries: Bolivia, Cambodia, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Nepal, Zimbabwe, Liberia, Myanmar, or North Korea – unfortunately, there's no way for you to pass KYC.
You won't be able to participate in sales requiring a valid KYC status. But many sales on TrustPad do not require KYC; you can still participate in those.
What can I do if I am rejected?
You should receive an email from KYCAid stating why your documents were rejected. You can submit another application with the correct documents.
If KYCAid declined your application due to age or country restrictions, it's impossible to resubmit it.
