TrustPad launched in May 2021, and it was the first-ever multi-chain launchpad. Since day one we’ve had an ardent security and user-safety focus. Fun fact: We were the first launchpad to ever process a refund to our users— after all, our motto and slogan since day one have been “The Safest Launchpad” and “Making DeFi a Safer Place”, and that concept has been incredibly successful — TrustPad truly is the safest launchpad in the space.
In the bear market of 2022, we launched the Safeguarded Launch Protocol, a 10-point protection policy for IDO participants. It was a success! We managed to sell out IDOs in the midst of one of the worst crypto bear markets ever, and at the same time protect our users. It was, and still is probably one of the strictest user safety protocols for any IDO launchpad out there.
However, now that market conditions have improved and more projects are launching, we saw a need to adapt. So, to be able to offer more projects to our eager IDO participants — we are introducing SAFU — a new safe IDO model that will drastically increase the number of projects being able to launch on TrustPad and at the same time promise safety to our users.
Fun fact: The first-ever refund (post-IDO) by any launchpad was made by TrustPad.
This novel IDO model will enable users the ability to claim a complete refund of the amount they contributed within 48 hours of the listing, directly from the dashboard on TrustPad. After the 48-hour period, you will not be able to claim any refund.
This model will enable users to contribute larger amounts with peace of mind, which ultimately creates a win-win situation for both the users and the projects.
So, in case a user wants to exit their position, they can do so with the click of a button and get back the amount they contributed if they haven’t already claimed their first distribution amount. However, this is only possible within 48 hours since TGE.
This model will also push project teams to do their best for the launch of their tokens, and as we all know the launch/TGE is one of the most crucial parts.
Safeguarded Launch Protocol: TrustPad will provide a refund for the unvested amount if the token price drops below the IDO price before 41% of the tokens have been distributed. If the first distribution amount is 41% or more, then the policy is in effect until the next distribution amount.
SAFU Launch Protocol: Refund within 48 hours. Users will be able to claim an individual refund within 48 hours after the listing. After that period no refund will be possible.
Safeguarded Launch Protocol Points: 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, still apply to the SAFU IDO Model.
The sale partners are free to choose either one of the protection policies. On the pool pages, it will be specified which safety policy is applied to each IDO in question.
We want to highlight that regardless of policy, the TrustPad team will always carry out a very extensive Due Diligence on each project launching on TrustPad. Proper DEX liquidity, locked liquidity, locked team tokens, audited contracts and all tokens to be sent to TrustPad in full before launch, is mandatory.
In case an IDO or Pre-Sale is not covered by any protection policy, this will be stated clearly on the pool page, to ensure full transparency in the participation process.
